Hilton Charity Trail at Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa
The Hilton Charity Trail has proudly been held for the past 8 years, with an average of 500 participants running through the hunting grounds of Wolmar.
Our goal has remained the same since the very first trail: to help different associations and raise awareness. The funds collected last year have supported both NGOs in their various projects.
The Hilton Charity Trail is open to all ages and offers 3 races:
-
5km
-
10km
-
Semi-marathon of 21km
The Wolmar hunting ground provides trail runners with an unforgettable experience as they race through picturesque scenery and encounter local wildlife.
Objectives and Impact
The Hilton Charity Trail was created to:
-
Support Local Charities: All funds raised during the event are directed to local non-profit organizations, benefiting community development, health initiatives, and educational programs for underprivileged children and families in Mauritius.
-
Promote Environmental Awareness: The trail takes participants through the lush landscapes surrounding the resort, highlighting our commitment to preserving Mauritius's natural beauty. Each trail is carefully planned to minimize ecological impact, ensuring a respectful integration with the local flora and fauna.
Achievements and Future Goals
Since its inception, the Hilton Charity Trail has raised substantial funds for charities in Mauritius, demonstrating the power of hospitality in driving positive social change. As we look forward to future events, we aim to expand the trail’s reach, enhance its eco-friendly practices, and deepen our partnerships with local stakeholders to amplify our social and environmental impact.
The Hilton Charity Trail at Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa stands as a testament to our commitment to sustainability, community support, and active guest engagement, in line with Travel Life certification requirements and Hilton’s global corporate responsibility goals.
Medical
All participants of the 21 km race must attach a medical certificate to confirm that they are physically fit to run the trail. Please note that the medical certificate is compulsory to complete the registration.
