Hilton Mauritius's Contribution
The Hilton Mauritius Resort and Spa Team in collaboration with local beekeepers saved a huge bee colony to a proper beehive in our fruit garden to continue their service to nature.
The Bee Farm
As part of our engagement towards encouraging sustainable sourcing and responsibilities which is a fundamental part of the Hilton Worldwide Travel with Purpose, breeding of bees in a view of providing our guests with natural honey is now taking shape.
In an optic of avoiding a hazard to guest and giving the colony a survival chance, our Engineering Team set up a collaboration between the hotel and local beekeepers to move the colony to a proper beehive in our fruit garden so they can continue their service to nature.
The hotel actually has 2 beehive which is in the process of being upgraded to bigger units to provide honey from natural local produce to our guests; Good source of antioxidants with antibacterial and antifungal properties.
Please do not disturb the Honeybees.
